“So ya know, since I did just walk in on your birthday party uninvited, I feel like I owe ya at least a piece of cake from my part.” he smiled, hoping she wouldn’t discover his thinly veiled attempt at asking her out.
“First off - it’s totally fine, don’t think about it like that. I was happy to see you there, even if it happened like that.” Yeah, the situation was somewhat confusing, but it all was for the better, at least for Nikki. “If you feel like you owe me a piece of cake, well… I won’t stop you from giving it to me. I was craving something sweet, so your offer definitely works for me.”
