Now that he was finally wrapping his head around the fact Nicole was pregnant, he couldn’t help but to get a little excited, after all in just a few short months he would be a father. “I don’t have any just laying around the house, but I can get one or two from my Mom when I get back home.” When Nicole mentioned the last appointment and how she had only been able to see their baby’s rear on the sonogram, Colby chuckled. “Sounds like my spawn, already a chip of the old block…difficult from the very start.” Once Colby was able to get passed the traffic jam, it didn’t take him long to arrive at the doctor’s office, and judging from th parking lot, there weren’t many people already waiting. He found a parking spot near the door before getting out—waiting for Nicole to get out as well before the two headed toward the door together.

”There’s no rush for it, we still have time before the baby gets here. I just wanted to ask before I forget, because you know, pregnancy brain messes things up pretty easily”. With the traffic starting to ease up a little bit, they were able to move forward without much trouble. Letting out a small laugh at Colby’s words, the brunette nodded her head in agreement. “Honestly, if the baby would be kicking just like you then my insides are in for one hell of a few months, till he or she is born”, grinning, she rubbed her belly softly, thinking about how right it felt to have Colby right here, beside her, talking about things, like they used to do before. Getting out of the car, Nikki reached out for his hand, stopping herself short from touching him. Everything was still new and fresh, but at the same time she wanted to let the Iowan know that she wanted this - them being together - more then ever. “We still have 10 minutes left, hopefully it won’t take long till we get in”, checking in with the nurse, the duo headed over to the couch to wait their for their turn to go in. It took nearly 10 minutes for the nurse to call her name and let them in. Samantha smiled at her, grey eyes shifting to the man behind her, a knowing glint in her eyes. “We have more company today, huh? So, this is the baby’s daddy I assume? Nice to finally meet you”, extending her arm, the doctor waited for a hand shake, while Nikki got busy with tying to get into the chair, huffing and puffing, starting to get angry with herself for not being able to do such a simple thing as to climb onto the chair for a check up.
