He wasn’t sure what to think of Nicole’s idea, but after everything they had been through he just didn’t feel right turning her down. “It’s different. What the hell, I’m down,” he said as he handed her phone back to her. Along the way to the store, Colby listened to every direction Nicole gave him, remaining silent pretty much the whole way until they neared their destination.  "You remember that pasta you made for me once? Think you could hook that up?“ There was part of him that wanted to talk about everything. Where their relationship stood, but most of all what things would be like once their baby arrived, however having that conversation in the car wasn’t exactly idea, so he kept his thoughts to himself for the most part. When they finally arrived at their destination, Colby found a spot to park the car before turning to look in Nicole’s direction. “You know you don’t have to cook for me. I would have been cool with just hitting up Chipotle or whatever.”

Maybe her idea was not the best, but in her mind it was good enough, plus it involved Colby so everything will work it out later. Tucking her phone back into her purse, Nikki tried her best to make their ride to the store as easy as it can be, giving directions to the nearest Whole Foods in the area. “The one with chicken and white sauce? Course I can cook that. Plus, I was thinking about making some fresh salad, so it would be a perfect combination”. Unbuckling her seat belt, she signed in relief, when the pressure on her belly lessened. It was weird not to fit into the seat like she did before. But what was really on her mind the whole time was to have the opportunity to talk to Colby about them, where they stood relationship vise and how having a baby together will change it all. “I want to cook for you, so stop it. Plus, I think we have a lot to talk about, and it will give us a perfect opportunity to do so. Now, let’s grab everything and go home, I bet Winston is dying to get to know you better”, making her way out of the car, Nicole waited for Colby to join her, with the duo entering the store and leaving it in 20 minutes with everything they needed. The car ride back to her house was a quick one, and just like she predicted Winston run at them as soon as the door clicked shut. “You can go and take a shower while I prepare everything, promise not to start cooking without you”.
